I visited these breathtaking ancient beech trees in 2017 when I visited Wiltshire England. The roots and branches were absolutely phenomenal. Some say this grove was the inspiration for Tolkien’s Ents and it is located just a short walk from Avebury Henge Stone Circle. People often tie scraps of fabric and ribbons to the branches to make wishes. There is so much scared history in these wonderful trees and it was a pleasure to paint them.
